Who's to Blame?

Many people believe overeating and lack of exercise holds the ultimate blame for obesity across America, but recent studies prove the food industry to be at fault. The studies conclude that the food industry is following the tobacco industry’s pattern to ensure that we keep loading up on calories. All of the extra fat, salt, and sugar added to processed food makes it addicting and something we can't resist, similar to that of tobacco in cigarettes. American's have become addicted to food as early as childhood. The food industry is aware that the cheap junk food stocked on grocery store shelves is highly addictive and lacks nutrients, but what will it take for them to stop the production?
